Have you ever considered adopting an older, obedience trained, well adjusted dog? 

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have the confidence that the dog you just adopted had no behavioral problems that you would have to deal with, walked on a loose leash, didn’t bolt in/out doors, was crate trained, didn’t chew on things that didn’t belong to him?

Think about adopting a S.A.F.E. dog.

As a person who earns their living working with dogs, I firmly believe that one must sometime give back to that which pays for your food.  I do that by occasionally rescuing dogs from high kill facilities, and training them in basic obedience, and then placing them in good homes.

In the coming months A Good Dog will be looking for families to adopt fully trained dogs that also have outstanding personalities.

So many wonderful dogs with awesome potential are abandoned because their original families did not provide the exercise, structure, commitment and obedience all dogs crave and need to be excellent companions.

Once the dog has been obedience trained, we will be in search of the perfect home. For most high-energy dogs the perfect home includes a crate, a fully fenced yard and a family willing to learn obedience

Each dog will be trained for controlled leash walking, sit/stay, down/stay, come when called, leave it, go to place, off, give hugs, be crate trained, and come with required obedience classes for their new owners to learn how to properly handle their new, well trained family addition.

Adoption fees range between $400.00 to $1000.00, depending on the training and the dog.  While this seems rather high, please understand that hundreds of hours of work have gone into making this dog the best family pet it can possibly be.

Dogs will be placed out of my immediate area, however, new owners must either come to pick the dog up in person, or I will hand deliver the dog. (Travel expenses are not included)

All dogs are placed on a contract basis, new owners must sign and agree to the terms of the adoption contract.  References are required and are check prior to adoption.
