PUPPY KINDERGARTEN
We commence training with Puppy Kindergarten for puppies age 8 weeks to 14 weeks, and graduate up to advanced training, including off leash training and training for competition. Training your dog and setting rules are very important in the success of communicating with your pet. Remember, dogs are creatures of habit. Why not form good behavioral habits before bad habits occur, by being consistent with your rules.

RESIDENT TRAINING
This is a course in which the Dog is boarded with us & trained by our highly trained staff here on campus. This course is for very busy families or for people who just do not have the time to teach their dog manners. Some dogs have serious problems that require a professional dog trainer to solve. Once your dog is trained, we train you & family how to manage your dog and the correct voice & hand signals to use. While you are on vacation, your dog is here at camp being trained. This package course includes: Training in our facility, follow up sessions when you take your dog home, a personal Manual on your dog's training. We encourage the whole family to participate.

Facilities:  Dogs in our care are housed in the same environment in which they live on a day to day basis.....Our Home.

Management:  Dogs in our care learn about proper management, which assists in obedience training and socialization.  Dogs are brought to the exercise yard individually, so they are handled several times per day, when they learn about walking through doors politely, being around other dogs, cats, and so forth.
Dogs go with us to local restaurants, shops and parks, in order to learn about proper manners in a setting of real life.
Part of training at A Good Dog, is learning that excessive barking, door crashing, jumping on people, and rough housing in the home are not acceptable.

The result?  A Well trained dog that is a joy to live with.

Training:  Our unique approach to training results in a well behaved, confident dog.  Your dog will learn tradition commands, such as heeling(We have no tolerance policy for pulling on humans), sit/stay, down/stay and coming when called.
Your dog will earn to obey quickly and confidently, and without the need for excessive begging on the part of you.
We firmly believe in training in the real world.  While some will "tout" training methods like those used with Marine Mammals, I have yet to see a Dolphin bite the Mail Man, or a Killer Whale get hit and killed by a car.  We work with the dogs around a variety of distractions, such as other animals, children, food, etc.
We establish trust, by providing firm leadership and direction, and allowing the dog to feel confident in our ability to care for them.
