A Good Dog EXPERIENTIAL PROGRAMS

Interactions with appropriate dogs can create beautiful and educational metaphors. Spend a day with Karla, learning about dog training and looking at the every-day issues that shape dogs' behavior, thus their lives. Karla’s Assistance dogs will be on hand for participants to “train” with directly, and dogs in training at A Good Dog might provide additional examples for discussion.

Participants include individual adults, child-and-parent duos, and educators or mental health therapists who want to learn about working with dogs to create metaphor within professional environments. Women who feel that their relationships with their dogs might be enhanced by a savvy female dog trainer's insights should consider Karla Clinch’s “In The Life of Women and Their Dogs”.  If you're the parent of a child who loves dogs (or just the idea of dogs), consider a day-long course that is as much fun as it is educational. “Right Start – Dog Training and Beyond” includes child-to-dog interactions, with some interactions between parent, child, and dogs.

Topics addressed throughout experiential days include
